| Is that a realistic strategy for protecting this thing, and what are the complications – the factors that could make preservation difficult in this case? 0-5 pts | Is it worth preserving at all, or at the cost? Why or why not?
0-5 pts.
| A1 | The music of a little town in India. | The new styles of music are losing the old styles. Also, there are no live people that can write the music of the town. | People are trying to mix the old and the new styles of music, because that could be form to preserve the different styles. | I thinks that it could be a very good idea, because young generation of people are interested in new things, and if the music is been refresh to preserve it, there would not be a problem. | Music is part of our culture, even as humans. That why it is so important to preserve it, sometimes a song or a melody could say more that words or explanations about a tribe. | A2 | A fresco of Jesus called “ecce homo” painted in the 19th century by Elías García Martinez. | The moisture was flaking off the church’s walls and that was ruining the fresco, and also the old lady, who tried to fix it, but she ruined the picture, destroying a very valuable paint. | It was in the church and everybody could see or ever take the fresco. It was not protected. | Unfortunately, the fresco was not protected as it should be. Young generation are not interested in preserved the religion’s culture. Even the priest didn’t take care about the fresco, because he knew about the situation, and left the woman do it. And as we know, she didn’t know anything about restoring paints. | I think that the old lady had the best intention in fixing the paint, but she ruined a work of art that it had been very important in the church. But anyway, people will not forget about religion because of this situation. | A3 | Old Videogames that were sensation at their beginning. | The change of technology and how the world has been changing. | The Library Congress made an interesting proposal to save those old videogames, because they wanted to preserved old good times playing those games. | In my opinion I think that it could be realistic if they are really interested in preserved those videogames. Probable it would take time and money, but future generations will have the opportunity to see old videogames that were sensation in the past. | I think that every new invent is very important, because they show parts of the human evolution. Saving the technology would be a very special moment to show future generation about how it worked. In my opinion, every thing that human beings do are important and they deserve be in a museum. | A4 | Houses and a Mosque made of mud-brick | The changes that have occurred in the world have made the small towns have to change its architecture.
| The Great Mosque has been restored to preserve the traditions of the people of Djenne, and also how to use mud-brick houses.
| This was a change that was made to preserve traditions. This restoration was done in the houses of the people and in The Great Mosque as well. This town was considered a heritage of humanity.
| We have to preserved our traditions, and to do that, we have to restore in a very careful way the elements necessary to keep in our hearts and mind the culture. | A5 | Just a few people speak a language called Siletz Dee-ni. | globalization is one of the main guilty, because the "main languages" are taught in schools, rather than the originary ones. | One of the speakers has written a dictionary trying to include all the words that he knew. And this language now is being taugh in the schools. | The Unesco is trying to stabilize the situation of the language, beucase we, as human beings, have to preserved our origin, we don't have to forget where we are from. | Probably it is not necessary to teach this language in schools, because students could not be interested in something like that. but it would be important that preserved the language in books, dictionaries and in museum. | A6 | Some elements used in the first expedition to the moon, called "Apolo", were left there. | Several countries are sending roborts to the moon, and probably those objects could be threatened. | NASA is planning to send austronauts to the moon, to save and protect the elements left there. | I think that probably it could not be profitable, because the moon is not theirs, if they left things there they have to forget about that. The moon is part of the earth and everybody could go there. And we don't have to forget that several countries signed a treaty about not claim sovereignty of the moon. | In my opinion, it is not worthy at all. On one hand the moon is part of the place where all of us live, the earth, and on the other hand, if they don't want that they take their objects they didn't have left it there. |

David Saldaño:
To Preserve History on the Moon, Visitors Are Asked to Tread Lightly
1. What exactly is endangered in this story?
The things and the artifacts left during the expedition of Armstrong in 1969, now considered a world historical treasure 2. What things are threatening it? Countries like Russia and India are planning to send robotic landers to the moon, and the NASA wanted to send astronauts again. There is a fear that these expeditions will destroy or destroy this “world treasure” 3. What has been done so far to protect it?
Doctor O’Leary is organizing a movement to protect this historical treasure; they are planning to send an expedition to limit future ones to destroy it. This expedition would cover all the ground used in the expedition of Apollo 11, and will not leave future explorers to get closer to it. 4. Is that a realistic strategy for protecting this thing, and what are the complications – the factors that could make preservation difficult in this case? I honestly think is not a realistic strategy, because despite of some of my partners said about it would avoid to preserve those left things, it would also open doors to others explorers to do the same, and there would be no one in the moon to watch this strategy. 5. Is it worth preserving at all, or at the cost? Why or why not? I think is not, I think the most important by now is to preserve the moon, because is a natural place, and the man is always destroying these kind of places. If people in USA wanted to preserve those artifacts, then they should have brought those things to their country, because the moon is not a museum. Despite Good Intentions, a Fresco in Spain Is Ruined 1. What exactly is endangered in this story?
A fresco of Jesus called the “ecce homo”, which represents Catholic Church and beliefs, and preservations of old frescos threatened by people and time. 2. What things are threatening it?
The Time and obviously people are threating it. As we saw in the story, the fresco was being damaged by the past of time. A woman, that represents humans, tried to fix it, but she made it worse. 3. What has been done so far to protect it?
Nothing has been done so far I think. The fresco was in a place where everyone could pick it up and destroy it. The authorities considered things like taking legal actions against the lady, but this wouldn’t change the fact that it could happen again. 4. Is that a realistic strategy for protecting this thing, and what are the complications – the factors that could make preservation difficult in this case? It is obviously not a realistic, nor is a correct strategy to preserve those things. They are not preserving it at all. That fresco should have been in a museum watched by guards. 5. Is it worth preserving at all, or at the cost? Why or why not? It is, I think is a humanity treasure, especially for Catholic Church. It represents the religious beliefs of a lot of people around the world. Fix the mistakes of the woman, would not change the fact that it was destroyed. Is That Just Some Game? No, It’s a Cultural Artifact. 1. What exactly is endangered in this story?
Video games in general and their artifacts 2. What things are threatening it?
Technology, new video games and oblivion from people 3. What has been done so far to protect it? A man and fan of video games start the movement to preserve classical videogames. He and the library congress made a list of the 10 most important videos of all times, including games like Mario bros, Tetris and Zork. With this, they are trying to include videogames on people’s mind like something cultural that has to be preserved. 4. Is that a realistic strategy for protecting this thing, and what are the complications – the factors that could make preservation difficult in this case?
I think it is, videogames represents all generations in different ways. They also are the clear illustration of technology progress. Include videogames in campaigns along with movies, helps people to see videogames as something most important. 5. Is it worth preserving at all, or at the cost? Why or why not? It is, as I said before, videogames are important for every generation in the last 40 or 50 years, and it represents the big progress that technology has achieved with the pass of time. Maybe some people would say that videogames are not that important, that’s why I think it should be more museums for videogames industries. Mali City Rankled by Rules for Life in Spotlight 1. What exactly is endangered in this story?
People from Djenne’s progress and their mud-bricks buildings are in danger. 2. What things are threatening it? They are threating each other. People from Djenne wants to progress, and for this is necessary to destroy or to alter those old and historical mud-bricks buildings. On the other side, Djenne can’t do this because UNESCO forbids them to. They consider these buildings as something historical, because it is the largest mud brick structure in the world. 3. What has been done so far to protect it? These mud-bricks buildings had been restored by “The great Mosque” to try to preserve the structure of the buildings. And nobody is thinking about the people that want to progress, and to stop being a city from “another world”. 4. Is that a realistic strategy for protecting this thing, and what are the complications – the factors that could make preservation difficult in this case?It is not, because UNESCO is trying to preserve the buildings, but they are going to be altered anyways if people keep living in those places. On the other hand, people from Djenne should have the right to do whatever they want with their properties. So, UNESCO has to find a way to preserve and respect both parts. 5. Is it worth preserving at all, or at the cost? Why or why not?
It is, as the story said “is so unique that it looks as if it might have landed from another planet, an imposing sand castle looming over the main square”. Something like this obviously has to be preserved, but without trample on people’s rights. Tribe Revives Language on Verge of Extinction
1. What exactly is endangered in this story? An American-Indian language called Siletz Dee-ni with only a few speakers left was passing through an unfair oblivion. 2. What things are threatening it? Oblivion and globalization are the principal threats, because they are forcing people to learn the most global and important languages, like English, Spanish and Chinese. But they are leaving in oblivion traditional, old and historical languages like Siletz Dee-ni 3. What has been done so far to protect it? A guy called Bud lane has been working and promoting the language by creating written, oral and online dictionaries to keep the culture of this language. He has promoted the language on different institutes and schools and he has made it. Now the language is being taught on some schools. 4. Is that a realistic strategy for protecting this thing, and what are the complications – the factors that could make preservation difficult in this case?
It is a good way to preserve a language, maybe is not the most influential, but it is a start. Maybe along with the dictionary, will be a book with the story of the language, movies and documentaries that will teach people more about the language. 5. Is it worth preserving at all, or at the cost? Why or why not? It is. languages in general are an important part of human history. They represent different cultures and periods of times that have to be remembered now and in one hundred years from now. Here Today, Gone Tomorrow: Preserving Culture in Changing Times
1. What exactly is endangered in this story?
A type of music of a little town in India called Manganiyar 2. What things are threatening it?
The new types of music and big industries of music are making people to forget these kinds of old music. The people who used to write Manganiyar don’t exist anymore and there is no one to keep working with this music. 3. What has been done so far to protect it?
Some people are trying to renew this kind of music by mixing it with new music. Mr. Sharma and Mr. Malhotra are making concerts of this music and recording new albums using it. 4. Is that a realistic strategy for protecting this thing, and what are the complications – the factors that could make preservation difficult in this case?
It is a good strategy. Maybe it won’t be the winner of a prize in music world, but it will preserve in some way this old type of music. 5. Is it worth preserving at all, or at the cost? Why or why not? Every type of music deserves to be preserved, because music gives people happiness, it doesn’t judge people and their tastes. DAVID SALDAÑO PINTO PARALLEL KELLY NOVEMBER 8TH

FELIPE MUÑOZ LAGOS, PARALLEL 1 - TASK 1
| What exactly is endangered in this story | What things are threatening it?
| What has been done so far to protect it? | Is that a realistic strategy for protecting this thing, and what are the complications-the factors that could make preservation difficult in this case? | Is it worth preserving at all, or at the cost? Why or why not?
| A1:Preserving the Passion of India’s Roots Music | Sindhi music of Manganiyars, which is a hereditary Muslim style of music. | It doesn’t have written records, and people prefer new styles of music rather than ancient folk music. | Modernization; making the music more contemporary. They mixed the music of the Manganiyars with electronic music. | Yes, it is good. Actually, it is an excellent idea. I don’t see why ancient things can’t get along with the newer. I think that this also could lead some people to get interested in the original Manganiyar music as an option. | Yes, it is worth since music is a type of cultural expression. The cost of this could be, perhaps, to lose the original style of this music. However, that is better than losing it at all.
| A2:Despite Good Intentions, a Fresco in Spain Is Ruined | “Ecce Homo” a fresco of Jesus crowned with throns in Santuario de la Misericordia in Borja, near Zaragoza in Spain.
| The fresco got damaged by the moisture of the churh’s walls. Parts of it had flaked off.
| An old woman called Cecilia Giménez worked on the fresco using a 10-year-old picture and following, under the guidance of art historians.
| Realistic it is, but not a good idea to be done by a non-expert person in that matter. The proof of this is that the old lady ruined the fresco, turning the appearance of Jesus on the painting like a monkey.
| I don’t think it is worth to be restored. I don’t know why people do paintings of Jesus and adore images when one of the commandments is not to make images, nor to adore them.
| A3: Is That Just Some Game? No, It’s a Cultural Artifact
| Video Games that marked an after and a before in the gaming environment.
| The changes on technology make them obsolete. | A proposal was made to preserve a list of 10 video games as part of culture and history to the Library of Congress in September 2006. | It’s a difficult strategy. Besides they depend on the Library of Congress, most of these can only be preserved to become a relic since most of them work in old-fashion game consoles. These games can be downloaded and played on computer, that’s not legal. | Yes, they are worth to be preserved, but not in that way. The best option, in my opinion, would be to adapt those games for be played in new game consoles, although I think they couldn’t compete against the newer games.
| A4:Mali City Rankled by Rules for Life in Spotlight | Mud-brick made houses in Djenné, Mali. Also, the Grand Mosque (also a mud-brick building) | The people of Djenné want to modernize and update the town since they are like-frozen in time and they want comfort. Also, the buildings can collapse because of the materials they are done. | Restoration processes are made every year, so the buildings are saved from collapsing. | No, it isn’t. They are trying to make survive something that is not functional for what their inhabitants need. They are getting upset with the pass of time. Maybe it’s a good option for the Great Mosque, but I don’t find it fair for the people that UNESCO, an entity who doesn’t have to lead with the problems of these people, make the decisions for their houses. | Maybe the Great Mosque is worth to be preserved since is a monument, but not the houses. Things are created for a reason. It is true that many tourists go to see them and how these buildings are made, have made this town popular. However, houses weren’t made to be seen but to live inside them. UNESCO should think that they are giving more value to architecture than people, but people are more important.
| A5:Tribe Revives Language on Verge of Extinction | Siletz Dee-ni, an ancient American Indian language with only about five speakers left. | The death of the language speakers since the language was not being taught in schools anymore. | The creation of an online Siletz Dee-in Talking Dictionary to expand it to other areas and the use of this language in song for native dances.
Also, the language is being taught at the sixth public charter school in Siletz now.
| The creation of a Talking Dictionary is a good idea since there are some people who engaged with the language through it. However, by teaching it at school is not something realistic. The fact that there were just 5 speakers of this language remaining tells that the new generations are not really interested on learning it. | It is worth to be preserved. The efforts of it should be, however, in the same level as the language is popular. In this situation it seems that people is getting attracted by this language. Also, language is part of culture. Even if it weren’t being used anymore, is worth to be preserved for history.
| A6:To Preserve History on the Moon, Visitors Are Asked to Tread Lightly | Two pairs of boots, and American flag, empty food bags, a pair of tongs and some other items left behind in the tranquility base on the moon, when it was first reached by humans. | Russia and India are planning to send robotic landers. Also 26 teams are competing in the Google Lunar X Prize for becoming the first organizations to put a spacecraft on the moon. These facts could damage or remove these articles from that place. | N.A.S.A. is trying to protect them by sending people and giving landing recommendations for those who are going there.
Guidelines were suggested for this.
| I think it’s so complicated. To obtain the agreement of UNESCO and everybody. They can’t ask something like that to be done since there is an agreement that nobody could claim terrain of the moon. They can only hope that the rest comprehend them and agree. | It’s not worth to. It requires many complicated efforts to be done.
The costs for doing this are not considerable. It would be better that they go and take those items back to their country, which is their terrain, since those items are theirs. In that case they could exhibit them in a museum.

Preserving the Passion of India’s Roots Music
What exactly is endangered in this story? The music of the Manganiyars is endangered. It is Muslim folk music that is played near New Delhi, and that has almost no people able to play it. In addition, part of the musical root is being forgotten. These roots are very important because they could show to future generations how life was by music.
What things are threatening it? Young people are more interested in new music styles, and they are not paying attention to what they have in their land. Their musical background does not catch their attention, so trying to make this folk music popular once again is almost impossible. Moreover, young people are able to download everything from internet, consequently technology is threating this musical roots too.
What has been done so far to protect it? Some people tried to create an independent record label called Amarrass Records in order to preserve this ancient music.
Is that a realistic strategy for protecting this thing, and what are the complications – the factors that could make preservation difficult in this case?
Despite the fact that it could be a good idea to preserve folk music, authorities and experts believe that it will not be good enough to save this music, because this kind of music is not commercial, and that is the main problem. People are not interested in folk music. As I said before, technology is killing our roots.
Is it worth preserving at all, or at the cost? Why or why not?
In my opinion, as a music lover, I would say that every single piece of music should be preserved. It does not matter the cost, people who makes music should remain in everybody’s memories, because their music will always fulfill our souls in some way. I would like to travel the world and listen to every piece of folk music of the country where I would be.
Despite Good Intentions, a Fresco in Spain Is Ruined
What exactly is endangered in this story? More than endangered, in this story, a piece of religious art was almost destroyed. An old woman tried to restore a painting of Jesus. However, she did it wrong and some people made fun of what she did through internet. Others got angry at this and they are going to do something else about it because the cultural-religious heritage had been endangered and almost lost.
What things are threatening it? The desire of restoring things as they were when they were just made threatens all cultural heritages. People would like to see things rebuilt or remade as if they were brand new, but sometimes people are not skilled enough to restore things as they used to be.
What has been done so far to protect it? The Borja authorities considered taking legal actions against this woman. Even though the main objective was to restore this work as it was before Ms. Gimenez tried to fix it.
Is that a realistic strategy for protecting this thing, and what are the complications – the factors that could make preservation difficult in this case?
I think that taking legal actions is something useless because the painting will remain the same. By the other hand there is paint over the painting! It is almost impossible to restore the artwork.
Is it worth preserving at all, or at the cost? Why or why not?
It is totally worth to preserve it because every single piece that remains has a story to tell. This work was made many years ago and it should have been preserved as it was. If time or weather destroys a piece of art people should leave it like that because that is part of what happened to it.
On the contrary, Borja’s authorities should keep that work like that to remind people that pieces of art could not been made twice.
Is That Just Some Game? No, it’s a Cultural Artifact
What exactly is endangered in this story? About what I read I think that just the copyrights are endangered in this article. People are preserving games and hardwares used to play those games. In addition, there are no threatening stuffs against these collections. In the same way that the previous article, time would destroy these collections, maybe a natural hazard, but people is taking care of the cultural things that these games bring us.
What things are threatening it? The most dangerous thing against these videogames is technology. Internet is giving people the chance to use softwares called “emulators”. In this way they can play all those old games without paying. Another important thing about technology is that more consoles are being sold, and the old videogames are forgotten by adults and never known by kids.
What has been done so far to protect it? The committee listed in the article created a list of 10 games that in some way marked the videogame story. This is something very important for old and new gamers. People can learn how videogames were developed from a basis, the starting point of the current games.
It is important to create those lists and present them in important events. In this way people will remember games they played when they were kids and how this affected to them. In this way people will be able to tell their kids a little bit about videogames.
Is that a realistic strategy for protecting this thing, and what are the complications – the factors that could make preservation difficult in this case?
This is a realistic way to keep old games alive, and it is a really good idea to protect them. Actually, when kids have the chance to play old games they really enjoy them, despite the fact that graphics are not as good as the current.
A complication could be that people stop bringing these games to their memories, and let the technology overcome all those good memories that are stuck in those old machines.
Is it worth preserving at all, or at the cost? Why or why not?
In my opinion it is absolutely worth to preserve old video games. I am a gamer, I do love videogames, and it is amazing to bring memories from when I was a child playing all this old stuff.
In the future, these videogames will be as surprising as stones with old writings. That will show the world how videogames started, who developed those games. All those things will be part of our history.
Mali City Rankled by Rules for Life in Spotlight
What exactly is endangered in this story? This is a complicated article to discuss about because we have two important things endangered. First, there are people who cannot improve their life, and they live poorly just because some others want to keep the cultural stuff. Second, and by the other hand, there is the culture. Those ancients but beautiful buildings made with ancient techniques.
“While it may be good for tourism, residents complain of being frozen in time like pieces in a museum”
What things are threatening it? Those two things threaten each other.
People would like to live better. They say that they need to improve the building materials, and modify how the building should look like in order to improve their lifestyles, their houses. So, people would like to change these ancient building in order to live better. On the contrary, authorities say that these people could live better using the right materials to rebuild the building, and they would be able to keep the architecture.
What has been done so far to protect it? Authorities are looking for something in order to provide the basic necessities to these people without destroying the mud-brick architecture which is considered the heart of the city. I think that this is the only thing they could do, otherwise both things will perish.
Is that a realistic strategy for protecting this thing, and what are the complications – the factors that could make preservation difficult in this case?
It is absolutely realistic trying to reach a common point for both coin sides. It is much better that doing things by force. A difficulty that we may see here is that people would not be satisfied with the solutions that authorities may give, they will probably ask for more than they really need, or what authorities can give.
Is it worth preserving at all, or at the cost? Why or why not? Personally, I think that if some place is not given people the right conditions to live it is not worth to save those buildings. However, these people could receive a new brand place to live, in that way we could preserve human rights and that beautiful architecture.
Tribe Revives Language on Verge of Extinction
What exactly is endangered in this story? An ancient American language called Siletz Dee-ni. Which is spoken just by five people, so, it is near to extinction
What things are threatening it? People who spoke this language are passing away, and with them their language too. Americans are no interested in learning this language because it is not useful. Globalization is killing, in some way, native languages. In addition, Siletz Dee-ni is not taught in any school, so there is no way to learn it.
What has been done so far to protect it? A man started recording the language to store it in some place where it could remain for many years. Then organizers publicized the existence of this website and people from all-over the world started showing interest on this language.
Is that a realistic strategy for protecting this thing, and what are the complications – the factors that could make preservation difficult in this case?
I do not know if it really would work in order to save the language, we are in a world were useless things are thrown away, and this language is one of those useless things, despite all the cultural content that it has. The complication would be that all the native speakers die. If they die, and the databases of the language are damaged, this language would be completely destroyed, and forever.
Is it worth preserving at all, or at the cost? Why or why not? As I said in the previous answers, everything about culture is worth to preserve. We should take care of what our ancestors leave us. That is where we come from. We were born from those roots, those languages, those buildings, or those musical pieces. People with that ancestry should keep Siletz Dee-ni alive, because that is their origin.
To Preserve History on the Moon, Visitors Are Asked to Tread Lightly
What exactly is endangered in this story? Two pairs of boots, an American flag, empty food bags, a pair of tongs and some things in the moon.
What things are threatening it? Space programs developed by Russia and India are threatening this moon items, and a competition started by Google which promotes the private companies to reach the moon.
What has been done so far to protect it? Dr. O’Leary started to call the attention of many institutions and finally got NASA’s attention. NASA organized a moon preservation workshop, in order to let companies know what to take care of while in the moon.
Is that a realistic strategy for protecting this thing, and what are the complications – the factors that could make preservation difficult in this case?
I would like to start answering with another question. Can we protect something that we can hardly reach? It is kind of hard to preserve things that are far away, or that were just part of an experiment. We are talking about moon! Mankind reached it like 50 years ago and we couldn’t get there again. It is kind of hard, it is all about difficulties.
Is it worth preserving at all, or at the cost? Why or why not? It is not worth to preserve at all. We live in the Earth, and we have so much cultural things to save in our planet. Instead of taking care of a pair of boots, we should find a way to teach our native languages, to show people that folk is amazing, to keep our ancient buildings without losing our rights. However, people think that is more important to preserve a footprint. Genius.

"because the moon is not a museum" good point davidsaldanopinto I don´t know why NASA is participating in this shenanigans. "these people could receive a new brand place to live" that would be great, but in terms of money I don´t think it´s very viable. it would be better if people were allowed to modify their places like everyone else in the world. sebaalliu"this fresco is now even more famous than it used to be in the past" I haven´t thought about it that way, and you´re right carlos. now more people knows about the original fresco, and also as you said if the fresco is preserved it will attract tourism to Borja.

rafaelanriquez, I do not think that everything we have created must be in a museum. There are other ways to remember and learn about past things. I think that videogames are important but not that much, their story just need to be available if someone wants to know more about them. Just like I said, we are focus on the new technology and we do not have interest in how it was before. I disagree with you Felipe Muñoz, they think that those footprints and those artifacts that stayed thee would loose significance if they take them away from the moon. One of the reasons of doing all of this is that the americans want their belongings to stay there.

| A1 | Traditional music of the Manganiyars | This kind of music don't have written records, this makes more difficult to the future generations to learn it. | A festival has been organized and they released and album. The cultural music is also mixed with the modern music.Row 2 column 4 | I think that it is possible to do this strategy. It is also a good idea to mix the old music with new one, but it is very important to maintain the essence of the old traditional music.Row 2 column 5 | I believe that it is always good to preserve our roots. Music is one of the things that characterizes our culture, it should be honor and should be taught from generation to generation, if we do that, our traditions and roots will never die.
| A2 | A century-old “ecce homo” fresco of Jesus crowned with thorns | The moisture of the church where it was the first threat. The fresco was pretty damage by the moisture, an Spanish old lady of 80 years all, Ms. Gimenez, tried to restore it, but she ruined it. | The fresco was not being protected, it was hanging in the walls of the church. We can say that it was protected in the church but it was there where he lost almost all its beauty. Row 3 column 4 | As long as we know, there was nothing being done for the fresco. Even the priest , who was in charge of taking care of it, did not make a good job. He let a woman, who didn't know anything about paintings or restoration, to restore it. I believe that it is very difficult to preserve it because, first of all it is already ruined and unfortunately young generations don't care about culture or religion to preserve.n 5 | I think that it was not necessary to restore the image, it had a meaning in how it looked. I think that it should have been moved from where it was to preserve it. The intentions of the lady were the best ones. This situation doesn't mean that people will stop believing in their religion.
| A3 | Videogames | Technology is threatening videogames, it is moving so fast that videogames are getting obsolete. | A proposal has been made: List the best 10 video games of all time, this will be added in the Library of congress.Row 4 column 4 | I think that it is not that simple, the preserve the video games is necessary to have the console that match with that game. It will be possible to have the games in a museum where people could play them. | I think that it is an interesting idea the preserve video games, it can show how times had changed through times.
| A4 | Houses and a Mosque made of mud brick. ". | One of the things that has being done is that people has to restore a lot of times per year. The houses and monuments are made of mud brick and this is a very fragile material.
| I don't think that it is a realistic way to preserve "history" people lives there, and it is very unfair to be frozen in time because of the "history and culture", it is almost impossible to not even being able to change your own house, and people doesn't even get something for being a "World Heritage Site". | No, it is not worth it. I think that it is almost affecting human rights.
| A5 | Siletz dee ni language is dying, a few people speaks it.Row 6 column 2 | Society is one of the things that are threatening Siletz, people only learn languages that are being spoken by world powers. | A dictionary has being created to teach how to use Siletz language. Now some schools are teaching Siletz | I think that it is a good strategy to preserve a language, it gives the opportunity to people who wants to learn this language to do it. | Of course is worth it to be preserve. It will always be important to preserve our roots and our culture.
| A6 | Items that have been left in the tranquility base , in the moon, since the first man reached the moo | NASA is giving recommendations to the companies that want to go to the moon. | I think that it is not a realistic strategy because, one time there, the people who goes to the moon will probably want to take something with them or to move something.
| I think that it is important to because the items that are in the moon are one real fact that the mission was completed and that humans reach it.
| I think that it is important to because the items that are in the moon are one real fact that the mission was completed and that humans reach it.
